Hello all,
I just bought a 01 600 and the only fault it appears to have is a leak at the left(as you sit on the bike) outmost carb. It appears to be coming from the bottom around the bowl. I see that it is held on by 4 screws. Can I just drop the bowl to check the seal? Would anything drop out? THe bike runs great and idles well. Just leaks at that carb when sitting.
Thanks.
OBTW- I have ordered a haynes manual and am waiting for it to arrive.

Yes, you can - if you can get the screws to come out in tha little bit of area you have to work. They are typically stubborn.
The only thing that should come right out is fuel. Keep an eye on the pin that holds the float in place though. It may want to try and slide out, especially if the bike is on the sidestand.

Thanks,
Going to get stuff to oil and brake fluid. I will put it on the center stand.
