I have an 01 b6s... what mods can be done cheaply and easily? (all maint has been done) I don't want to spend more than $150 all together is this possible?

also are there any free online service manuals?

Thanks Jeremy

It all depends on what you want to modify.
There are some simple cosmetic things that are free to cheap to modify.
 (Lights, decals, rear fender, etc)
Performance stuff is gonna cost some bucks.....and there isn't much you can do for under $150, except maybe a sprocket change.

that ain't a whole lot of dough really.  Maybe a couple of cosmetic doo-dads.  You can't get a belly pan, or an exhaust, or ....or.... Maybe a good jet kit. and ignition advancer which ain't a bid deal really.  Definitely a jet kit.  It seems a little lean in stock form. Cold blooded for sure. Get a scorpion slip-on they supposedly don't require jetting and tweak your a/f mixture screws.

Get a Holeshot jet kit with the ignition advancer or adjust the a/f screws and shim the needles on the carbs. If you pay somebopdy to adjust the carbs, get an ignition advancer when funds allow. It is very easy to install and it made a difference on my 96 b6. With the carbs set up right, your engine will warm up much quicker and throttle response will be much better. After the carbs, suspension would be next. Fork springs and a used shock off of Ebay aren't very expensive.

I second that post.  Get the Holeshot stage one with ign. advancer (save some $$ and skip the K&N filter).  Even with the stock can you'll get much better performance and rideabilty.  I haven't checked prices lately but it should be right in there.  The directions are very good so if you're semi handy with a wrench and screwdriver you can save some $$ and do it yourself.

The air/fuel mixture is set up lean on the lowend and midrange, I assume to help it pass federal emissions tests.

I had a 2003 shadow ace for about a year.  It was reaaally lean in stock form.  It popped some with everything stock.  When I checked the a/f mix screws, one was barely 1/2 a turn out.
