OK, I am trying to leave work today. Rode in just fine this morning. Now bike no start.
When I turn the key, I do NOT get a needle sweep.
I DO get a red oil light.
I DO get headlights.
I do NOT get a blue "hi-beam" dash light.
I do NOT get a green
I do NOT get turn signals.
I do not get any indication that the bike is trying to start.
I have fiddled with the switch at the cluctch lever.
I have fiddled with the kickstand switch.
Yes, bike is in neutral, kill switch is on, etc.
I have looked at battery...LOOKS ok.
I have looked at fuses for starter, etc. all look OK.
I have called for a tow, but while I wait, any other ideas?

I had this happen to me recently. It ended up being the wiring at the Starter relay. Pull the leftside airbox cover and check the wiring there, as well as the fuse that is attached to it.

I'll look a that in the AM. I left it at work (it's a secured lot) to deal with tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion!

Start with the easy stuff first. Check your fuses.
-
The fuses in the tail were all OK. I'll check the "main fuse" that Andy mentioned first thing in the AM.

Just be careful, sometimes a fuse break can be hard to see.

So...the answer appreantly was a low battery. Our best guess is I left the damn emergency lights on, and in broaf daylight, did not notice. I did this one morning last summer, but noticed it a couple hours later and turned them off with no problem. I hate those dumn things and don't understand why the switch for them is in the position it is.

All it is there is the hold in the clutch starting thingmebob.
