I have my b12 parked on the kick stand right now and just happened to notice the glass "bulb" on the right side with an Empty mark and a Full mark, but niether is registered. I just bought the bike a while back and have yet to change the oil, but am wondering if its dry or just not indicating because of the lean on the bike. Anyone else experienced this or have some input?
Thanks

Just put the bike on its center stand or hold it level. Now take a look at the glass, it should have oil above the minimum and below the max line. If so your good. If not add or remove as needed.

Just to add to that... I've found that even if my bike is on its centerstand... if it's not on really level ground the reading will be off.

I've found that the center stand method doesn't work on my B6. Just have someone hold the bike upright while you check the glass.

Cool, that did the trick - I kinda figured the lean had something to do with it. Everything is where its supposed to be.
Thanks

On my B12, when it's on the C'stand, midway between the lines is Max when it's level.

All dealers will tell you that the best way to check oil levels is with the bike flat on the ground and someone holding it level.
If you use this method, vesus having it on the centre stand, the level will read slightly higher.
If my memory serves me correct, Susuki claims the capacity is 3.3 litres (3300 cc) and if you do not change the filter, add 3.3 litres to the bike, and then check the oil level when it is flat on the ground, you are bang on.

It does state in the owner's manual to check the oil while the bike is centered on both wheels and not on the center stand.

+1..... that is the easiest way too.
