Title: oil cooler size?

I bought a oil cooler cover of ebay last week but it doesn`t fit.
it`s fine height wise but about 2 inches to long.
 :?:
does any one know the correct sizes for the cooler as I was told it`s the correct one for  a 1200n v 1997
 
the cover sizes are as follows

14 3/4 inches by  7 inches
 :?:
and does anyone know what it will fit?

It may be for the new style bandits...which are a little bigger, not sure in which dimensions, though. :?:

2" too long in what dimension?

IIRC, the 2G cooler is wider, but the same height.

My bike's @ home and I'm not, but based on the pics in the parts catalogs, sounds like you got a 2G cover.
