Title: Petcock and Exhaust question
Post by: jajo on August 13, 2005, 10:43:54 PM
First off I would like to say this site is GREAT!! I installed my stage 1 jet kit from holeshot and my b12 runs like a spotted ape.  My question is when  I took off the fuel tank fuel slowly dripped from the petcock, is this right since it is controlled by vacuum?  Also there is a POP!POP!POP! coming from the exhaust when decelerating especially when i downshift. Sounds like a top fuel dragster slowing. What is it????? :thanks: [/b]

Where in Texas are you located?  I have a holeshot pipe and jet kit and my bike pops on deccel too.  I have been told that it is a lean condition that causes it in general.  My Honda does the same thing too on deccels.

Have you heard about the Arkansas run in September.  There is a group from this site going in September.

Let me know the dates and I'll see if Iam off work. Saved myself $83. today by tightening the screws on my fuel petcock which stopped it from leaking. As far as the pop from the exhaust, I synched the carbs which helped the idle problem and mpg but the pop seems more pronounced go figure..
