With a little creativity, I'm sure a shaft drive would be doable... you could use parts from a GSX1100G, you'd just have to do a little custom work in the swingarm dept and probably shorten the driveshaft.

We've discussed this before and I've been waiting for you to perfect the procedure and file a report.

Where's the challenge in that for you?  Tell you what, buddy, you run down all the parts, work out the details, do whatever machining you need, test it all, then I'll pay you for parts and a bit of labor (don't want to insult you by overpaying for the labor), and I'll even pay the shipping to ship it to me.

You can't beat a deal like that with a stick!
