Replacement Indicators?
« on: February 17, 2014, 02:26:17 AM »
Hi
I have a GS1200SS 2004 model.
Does anyone know if I can replace the original indicators with LED aftermarket ones without having to get an LED style flasher as well.
Thanks
Richard

If you don't want to replace the flasher relay you'll have to install additional resistors which is a more complicated and messier option. A good relay will work fine with any light so you can switch between LED and incandescent at will once you pop one in.

In any case, be very careful with LED turn signals. Most are useless for signalization and can cost you your hide. As a general rule of thumb, any LED under 3W is not bright enough.

I totally agree.
I have 02 1200 and it came with LED signals in the front and they are absolutely useless in the day and partially useless at night.
Going to replace them with stock ones the first chance I get
