I had an incident with my bike as it was being unloaded from the truck during a move. My right TS as trashed. The front wasn't too bad (this is a Naked bike) but I'm still removing parts on the back and still can't get to the connector to the wire harness.
It looks like it is under the rear tail light. It looks like the rear body piece has to come of but I can't figure out how. I have removed the rear grab handle and all the bungi lugs.
I don't want to cut and resplice the wires. I don't mind getting into this short of pulling the motor. What is the trick?

I know it can be sort of a bitch to get to the wires/connector especially if you have large hands. I used a piece of coat hanger to grab the wire.
Be patient and you will get it

What year is the bike? If it's a 2001 or newer, there's screws under the seat.
Then there's the little black scrivets that hold the tail to the inner fender. To remove those, push the centers in, then pull the scrivet out.
(To re-install them, push the centers out until the button protrudes, install the scrivet, then push the center flush.)
