Took my bike out and give it a good blast out. since i've never had this bike out before did'nt notice this problem. I have condensation on the inside of my rev counter, it did'nt go away after a few miles. Has anybody had this problem before and how do I get rid of it!
-
That's not an uncommon problem. I think a few hours left out in the sunshine will help immensely, but that may not be easy to do in Newcastle. Newcastle Brown Ale...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

My tach fogs up too. I'll ride a few miles, it will fog around the 4,000 rpm mark. After an hour or so it will clear up. My bike is garaged so I know its not wet inside. The only thing I can think of is when the case is cold the gears inside generate heat and you get condensation. When the gauge warms the condensation dries up.

SUN SHINE whats that? Its dark all year round, might strip the rev counter down and dry any water/condensation out and try again. See what happens. Thanks for letting me know that is a common problem.

I had that problem until I put some gun oil on the gauges. Just a slight film should do ya just fine. After that, there should be no problemo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guns and bikes, woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bandit:

Just went out and looked at my rev counter. And forgot to mention that I own a B6 99', the rev counter is a sealed unit so I cant get into it. So now trying to see if the air temp around me makes a differance. After this i'll just buy a new one!

Shouldn't be a sealed unit! How else would you change the lights inside when they burn out?
There should be a screw on the bottom of the chrome bullet housing that will allow you to get inside.
Here's (http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/300_0260/speedometer/speedometer.jpg) the link to the parts catalog's exploded view of the clocks.

I can get that far just cant get the front glass out, thats where the condensation. I know the b12 is differant. Had a look later yesterday and there was no conden in side, but will find out if it comes back today as im out on it.
