With my 2Bros pipe and Ivan's stage1 kit I am almost there with satisfactory running of the bike. It's just that little 2% of unsatisfactory that's bugging me. It's the low end, of course, being still just a little rough at idle and up to 3 grand. What I want is for it to run like it did with the stock setup cept a whole lot more power and noise. Hope I'm not asking too much. I've noticed a lot of people talking about upping the pilot jets to fix that low end unevenness. I have the shop manual and can't find anywhere info on the stock pilot size. Can anyone direct me here? And how much bigger should I go? I know I won't need much. One or two sizes bigger should do it.

I'm 99% sure the '06 carbs are the same as 01-05.
The stock size pilot jet is 15.
Traditionally people would get 17.5 pilots, but I hear that Mikuni isn't making them anymore, so they may be tough to find. There is no problem going with a 20.0 pilot. (Some people even get 27.5's)
But if you haven't already, before you replace the pilots I would make sure that...
1. The carbs are in sync.
and
2. You have tried to tune out the roughness with the A/F screws.

Oh ya. Been there, done that.
