K&N issues

Ok, I bumped up my mains to 127.5, stock pilots, A/F screws 2.5 turns out... about .040" shims on the needles, and the two inch mod tonight..

I also dropped in a K&N filter.. now it runs pretty good at WOT, but there is a very noticable flat spot in the midrange.. Is this because of the K&N? (i ask because the reason i still have the K&N is because it did the same in my 600) should i go back to stock, or more shims on the needles.. once you get the throttle opened up and the rpms up, you feel a very noticable surge in power... (makes wheelies easy wow.gif on accident i promise) how about the A/F screws, should i open them up more?

What is the best way to tune around the flat spot, more shims on the needles, just drop the stock filter back in??

Yes, needle position is what you are after to fix any mid-throttle issues.
Incase you havn't seen this before it's kinda nice to see it graphically.

Clip Position = Needle Height = Needle Position
