how many miles/KM did you get from the Michelins - and which Michelins were they.

Parts Unlimited , they have been in and out of stock . I just put in the order and will wait my turn .ordered through a mom and pop place and $310 includes install
fwiw my last set of pilot roads went just over 11,000 miles .
-
Man some great deals on tires these days Hu? I think Cycle gear have those for about the same but not inc install. I hear good stuff on em! :bigok:
-
ya I`m willing to be the guinne pig based on my experience with the last set of roads
-
Bridgestone BT-021's on my B12 right now. Work fine in all conditions; sticky, predictable, rain competent... wear seems fine (for around 4000 miles)

11,000 miles? Man, you can't beat that. Stick with the Pilots. My bike came with Dunlops and I changed em after 3000 miles. Could have maybe got 5000 running them bald. Let's hope my Pilots can go 11,000 but I kinda doubt it.

I hear the same about Avon Storms! 11K on a rear!! :taz: My bandit used to eat em in 5K tops. :duh:

for the record that (5000) is the most I had ever gotten untill this
-
interesting thread...i seem to tear through front tires and rears at almost the same speed...(must be doing something wrong i guess) my rear maxiss right now only has 5k on it...and it will just pass the yearly inspection here, I hope. So being able to get 11k would be sweet. It may have to be Pilots this spring.
-
Stinko's 009's 8K is the best I ever got!
-
I've been getting 10-11K our of Pilot Road rears. Fronts usually last ~15K.
Got 10K out of a B-010 front, 020 rear before I went to the Pilot Roads.
I've been trying to decide if the next set will be the new Roads, or the BT-021's...

[/quote]Its nice when you can use the whole tire and not just 3" of the center!

so far only the front has come in and I`m a bit worried . it is very SOFT/sticky . no road time yet ... just my put a thumb into the tread evaluation so far

There is a short artical in Bike this month. The writer tested seveal different types of tyres on a Bandit. He rated the BT021 as average and the Pilot Road 2 and Metzsler Roadtec Z6 as best. Page 165 and 166.
-
:thanks: That's good to know, cuz the Brits seemed to always rank the old BT020 much higher than the US press (and even enthusiast boards), so if they're jumping over to the PR2 & Z6 over the 021, that's good to know and ought to help me in my decision.

I get 11K on my pilots rear. 80 Mi per day commute. don't see any need in changing, way better than the dunlops and bridgestones.
-
tires will be mounted at 930 am sat . temps for sat afternoon 60`s . plan on that review sat night lol . M
-
well they are on and looking good  . I put on around 50 miles on them today . they felt great from the moment I left the yard
the bandit has a different feel to it now that I would only describe as light . not twitchy but much more willing to roll over into a corner or transition from one side to the other . granted it is only 50 miles and I didnt explore the limits at all as far as lean angles . but for the mean time I can only say good about them as I`ve had no negatives during my short ride . :drool2: Sunday... I will get into some corners lol :drool2 Mark
-
New tires always do feel great! Let us know after 3K! That is the test. :bigok:
