So, What exactly is a TRE modification?...I hear alot much about the mod and how it improves ride-ability and smoothness etc. etc.

The North American versions of the B12 don't have TRE wired up.  UK bikes do, but the jury is out as to if it really makes any difference.  The aftermarket TRE eliminators will still plug into a US/CDN B12, but you'd just be wasting your money buying one.
