I'm sure this is an age-old thread, but..
What shocks will fit (and improve) my 1998 B12 ?
I tried a Progressive 420 shock ($400). It was extremely harsh and blew the main seal after only 10,000 miles.
I'd love to buy an Ohlins but ... $$$$$$$$$
How about a later B12 model.... or a Hyabusa shock? What will fit?
Any suggestions?

looking at getting track bike #2 right now :yikes:, I'll drop an offer when I actually have some motorcycle budget again... I'm sure somebody else on here may also be interested.

I have a 420 and recently the spring broke in 3 parts. Buggered up the shock body too. Even though it was 5 years old and had 35k miles on it, Progressive gave me a complete new unit.
I've gotta tell you I never thought the old 420 was that much better than stock but new one is definitely better. I wonder if the old one was defective from the beginning?

I have a Works Performance on mine (and a GXSR for a spare) along with different bones made up for changing ride hieght.
But I'd rather have the Conget shock with the adjustable ride hieght. Made the same way as the Ohlins I beleive. Go to Motocd.com

I miss spelled that, Should have read Congent shock
