thinking on adding scorpion headers and pipe work to my scorpion can so i have the full monty on my b12
has anyone this system running on their bike if so
does it release more ponys
my bike is giving me 113 with end can will this improve
how do you rate it ???
all feedback appreciated before i part with my hard earned

I'm running a muzzy slip on myself but I've heard very good things about the scorpion exhaust solution. With the stock pipe being so crap I think if you put a couple of beer cans on the end of a vacuum hose it would be better!

Those that I've conversed with have loved their scorpion, I can't see how you could do wrong. If you go full exhaust system it really makes sense to go to a full stage 2 with pods. With such a setup I believe you will be getting around 120-125 HP with an appropriate jet kit. GSXR Cam another 10-15 in case you really have to get to the beer store in 30 seconds before it closes!

Have you rejetted with your can or shimmed the needles?

How do you like the sound from the pipe? Obviously anything is going to be louder than stock....but how loud? Personally I want to be a menace to society for noise pollution but I'll take performance over sound anyday.

Sound is very throaty. It not that much louder than stock but sounds alot better. At idle it's actually quieter than stock because the end opening is bigger. It only gets louder than stock at around 3K rpm and heavy on the throttle. Very nice pipe instant horsepower boost even though I'm in the middle of fine tuneing. I would suggest if you want to go without a jet kit temporarily I would suggest the following settings:

2 .5 mm(.020) shims. 1mm total (.040)
snorkle in.
Mixture screws 1/4 turn to 1/2 turn past stock.
Hold on!!!! Wheelieing will occur at 3700 rpm!

Im right now at 1 shim and it's slightly lean on the needle.

When it's time for the pipe we're doing it all in 1 shot.

Timing advancer, new jets (stage 2), K&N pods, full exhaust.

Only thing after that is the 1215 kit....maybe NOS.....

A couple/three years ago, Fast Larry did a header shootout with several top headers. I don't recall if Scorpion was on the list (and his site is down again, so I can't check), but Yoshimura, Holeshot and the Brock/Hindle full systems were. The Brock/Hindle system brought out the most in both a stock bike (with a jet kit) and a well-modded bike (head work, cams, high compression slugs, etc). The differences weren't earth shattering though. Unless you're looking for every scrap of power, I'd say go with the system you like the looks of.

Anyone know if Scorpion is still made by Akropovic?

Scorpion by Arakaovic??? no wonder why everyone says it's good....it's like buy Ferrari parts for a Civic...but at Civic's price.

I always liked the Yosh tri-Oval....but the cost doesn't appeal to me.

Yet as the saying goes "you get what you pay for".

Just noticed that there is no vendor of Scorpion exhaust in Canada. We'll have to see what shipping is like.

States? No prob about 30-50 bucks. Anywhere else just build it out of beer cans and home depot plumbing!! Outside of the states it's not worth it.

i have had good reports about scorpion so its a must
£284 for all pipe work upto can not bad price either
