Another dumb question

Today after riding my bike I noticed what looked and smelled like antifreeze draining from a hose coming out of the bottom of the bike. A assume an over flow hose for a surge tank or the system. It wasn't a lot of fluid , I checked the coolant level and it looks good.

It was the warmest day so far for the is bike since I got it used, 4k miles, maybe 75-80 degrees.

Is it normal to see some coolant draining from this hose. The overtemp light never came on.

I wouldn't worry about it.  Some amount of overflow is to be expected.  Keep an eye on your coolant level and if it goes down too far, even after a refill, then something might be up, but otherwise not a big deal.
