Title: Bandit wheels
Post by: Heyu on April 02, 2008, 01:11:39 PM
Does anyone know if the 1250 is using the same wheels as the 05 1200 I am looking at doing some gearing changes but am having difficulty finding sprockets for the 1250. If anyone knows of a place that has sprockets I'd appreciate a link.

Pretty sure the wheels are different on the 1250... but that doesn't mean anything regarding sprockets.
I don't know if the 1200 sprockets are bolt-ons for the 1250, though.  As a guess, I'd say they probably do - especially the rear one, since it's a pretty common Suzuki pattern on the 1200 (ie; shared with many other Suzuki chain drive bikes with 530 chain).

They are not the same part # as V-Strom and GSXr's so I'm not sure it's a five bolt pattern.

Hope this is ok as I do not want to break any board rules......

Part number and availability can be found at Holeshot for the 17 tooth.

Looking at the 1200's and the 1250 part numbers, they are not the same.

Hope this helps a little.

Yup, not the same - the 1200 has a 6-bolt pattern, the 1250 only 5.
Front sprockets wouldn't be the same p/n because the tooth count is different - even if the spline mounting is the same.
