Other stock exhausts on Bandit 1250
« on: July 08, 2008, 10:05:59 PM »
Does anyone know if there are other stock exhausts that will fit the Bandit 1250? On my 2001 Bandit 1200, I ran an RF900 can with the 2" mod and Dale's jet kit. It was ALMOST a direct swap. I just had to drill another mounting hole in the RF900 can's mounting bracket. I saw a video on YouTube of a guy running a GSXR can, but I don't know how much modification was required.

Here is the guy you are spedking of.  Look about half way down the page and he explains what he had to do.

I watched his video and could hear the motorcycle popping off throttle.  That would not work for me.

I'm running one of Dale Walker's Holeshot Performance 17" street slipons.  The pipe's an easy switch--you spend more time drilling the hole & installing the centerstand stop kit that you need to get (replaces the stock stop welded to the stock muffler).  Check the site at WWW.Holeshot.com. Two Brothers and I think Yoshmira have also come out with slip-ons that should be pretty straight forward.  I'm pretty happy with the Holeshot and the they're 'good folks' .
