Title: CMRA Races at Texas World Speedway
Post by: suzbnd12 on July 20, 2005, 04:03:31 PM
Here's a heads up to those of you who are roadrace fans.

The CMRA will have races at Texas World Speedway about 4 miles south of College Station on Hwy 6 on July 30th and 31st.  The endurance races will be held Saturday with Sunday being the day for sprint races. Admission is $10.00 for a day long pass and there are concessions sold at the track. Also, if you arrive early enough, spectators get to take a lap around the track. (I know this happens on Sundays but I have never been on a Saturday.)

You'll find that they run at other tracks in Texas and Oklahoma too.

The next event at Texas World Speedway is Oct. 1-2. I will be attending with a friend of mine who rides a 650 V-Strom and possibly another co-worker. This is the last race of the season. A weekend pass is $15. Outrageous! The last time I went, it was only $12! It's amazing how much inflation has taking its toll since I was last there in '87 or '88! :duh:
