Title: replacement handlebars for a '94 bandit 400
Post by: teatimebike on August 15, 2011, 09:35:52 AM
Hi, I have recently become the new owner of a 1994 bandit 400 and I have had many miles of fun times. I have really enjoyed the bike but have one major concern with it. Whilst attempting a u-turn on a slight hill I managed to drop the bike onto it's right hand side and the handlebar took most of the impact which bent it quite noticably. For the past few weeks I have  been trying to find a replacement but can't seem to find one, ideally I would prefer an original replacment but realise I might have to settle for a similar aftermarket one.

I have noticed that a lot of owners seem to be changing their handlebars for aftermarket ones but I can't seem to find any second hand standard ones on ebay or similar, is everyone else holding onto their old ones?

The reason I posted this here instead of the for sale/wanted section is because I was wondering whether anyone would be considering parting from their standard pair, preferably those from the UK or if anyone knows where I can buy a similar replacement I would be grateful.

thankyou, reading all your help on other topics has been so helpful so far.

You should be able to find a new set of bars at your friendly bike or bike accessory shop.  I noticed Banditmania (http://www.banditmaniashop.co.uk/handlebars-levers--accessories-248-c.asp) in Lincolnshire has bars for about £22-30.
