91 unleaded with no problems.

I think diferent bikes are set up differently for the various markets (Red will know if this is right)

I have been told by one of our S dealerships that if there are no bikes of any one model left in a particular country, then that country can get left overs in from other places if they need to.
So, it is likely that there may be bikes around that are in the UK (for example) that were back ordered from Spain (for example) without being tuned for the UK. This might be the cause of some running problems until the right fuel is used to suit the particular set up of the imported bike.

AFAIK, the only tuning differences are with California bound bikes.
The UK bound bikes do have carb heat that most other markets do not get. IIRC, UK & EU bikes have altered timing in 2nd & 3rd to meet sound req's - other than those minor things, their states of tune are all the same.

When it comes to octane, different parts of the world use different standards. Some use RON, some use MON and some, like the USA, use a number that's derived as an average of the two (RON+MON/2)

That last bit sounds a bit like - think of a number, multiply by 3, subtract 100 and then add the number you first thought of.

B6Mick said in another thread that he uses Premium/High Octane in his 600 almost exclusively.

Personnally, in my B12, I've noticed no difference except it DOESN'T like optimax.

The one next to diesel. Unleaded. If I'm feeling fruity I put a bit of both in

I run standard 95, but from time to time I have used the ultima or Shells own make of "High Performance Petrol" with little differance apart from the cost!  :bigok:

But if this is a speed thing then they will all get you points! if your over the limit, Dont speed in Scotland! got done for 76mph in a 50 zone look like a motorway but was'nt 5 points and a £100 fine. Bit high if you ask me. :soapbox:
