Hey Tainted, im from Bristol in the Wet (atm) South West...

Im currently riding a 600 Bandit (2000 Y-Model) and have been for about 8 months now..
I ride year round commuting and pleasure (only form of transport bar very bad public) and have to admit the Bandit is the best tool for the job. Have been using this site now for about 2 years i think and have to admit its saved my bacon way more times than i care to remember.. you'll get lots of advice from people here.

Hope you get a good summer up there and get to do loads of fair weather riding...

good to hear your not too afraid of dark clouds in the sky and the wet stuff.

been commuting/pleasure riding for 5 years now

yeah i'd say the bandit has done a damn good job of getting me from one place to another,
but give it 3 inches of snow and it'll object and eject :annoy:
but one hell of a good bike

fair weather would be nice
the lake district is beautiful and northumberland is pretty cool as well
 :beers:

Yeah the lakes are good, need to get up there on the bike though last time was far too long ago.

I'd agree with the snow thing, (well my knowledge is of ice we rarely get snow in Bristol  :boohoo: but i suppose that just means more time for riding!
 :beers:

I too am an Expat, originally from Lancashire, closest landmark that may be recognized would be the Haydock Racecource. Been living in London Ontario since 74. 04 B12 set up and used for long distance, this is how I had it set up last year for the ten hour ride to the MotoGP in Indianapolis(http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2582/3917108857_ba69d9642c_o.jpg)
Went back in 07 for the TT centenary and had a great time! Presently unemployed and waiting for this -12 weather to go away. If still without a job come the nice weather I hope to put some serious miles on the bike, going places I've always wanted to go, well, that's if I can afford it!
