Hey, Jomed. Hadn't seen much activity in this section for awhile, but figured I'd post since you were on today. I'm from the States, but may be heading down your way later this year to visit some friends. More than likely we'll be going to Cebu for a few days.

If you get bored and feel like teaching me some Tagalog let me know. Salamat!

(that's about the extent of my vocabulary at the moment)

Please pardon my ignorance, but why isn't anyone riding anything bigger than a 400cc bandit in the Philipenes?  I've been to China and have seen the same sort of thing there, with a 250 cc  upper limit.

Whassupwidat?

there are 600cc and 1200cc Bandits in the Philippines, but considering the cost of the bike as well as gas consumption, most riders stick to 250 or 400cc versions

Good to hear from our PI friends again!  :bigok:

I can understand the cost part, but after riding with a 400 Bandit recently, gas consumption can't be a reason!  The Hayabusa with us got as good or better fuel economy as the B4 and the 600 & 1200's did better than the B4.  All of them have a bigger tank, too, so you can ride further between gas stops.

Yep, I stand corrected on this :D I guess it's really the cost part... Plus, parts for Bandits are getting harder and harder to come by.  One chap sells them here for four to five times the cost!!! I wonder how he sleeps at night...

thats right spare parts of bandit is the main issue here in pi it cost a big bucks and its hard to find except for few shops in metro manila. but these shops ordered the parts via online coming from japan, taiwan or even in europe so you need to wait a week long to arrive. not to mention the 600 and ups bandits.
