good day bandidos!

just want to share, i already reached 2000kms on my speedo and change oil on my bandit. then i bought a oil filter for bandit400 for only P300 pesos ($6) and the other brand "daytona" cost only P500 ($10). what a deal! now i can say some of bandit parts nowadays are not quite expensive.  :beers:

just my two cents...

Hola!

HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF THE "TOILET-PAPER OIL FILTER"? J.C. Whitney used to sell them.  I installed one on an R16 Renault in 1970 and noticed that my gas mileage increase from 30 mpg to 36 mpg. Back then, it cost 10 cents for a roll of toilet paper. That came in handy during the fuel crises of the late '60's, early '70's.

The guy that bought my car in 1977 told me that he wanted my car for parts (he had a '70 R-16 himself), but it turned out that the engine in my car was in far better shape than his, even though mine had 137,000 miles on it, so he kept mine and used his for spare parts.

I still have the filter unit, and plan to put it into my 1995 Chevy van. Right now, it gets 13 mpg in town. The best mileage it got was 18.99 mpg on a 1200-mile trip up I-95. I'm looking forward to seeing what it does for 305 Chevy engine.
