I have to say, normally, it is always a bad news when you think of ambulance, motorbike and another car.... but for this time, good news came out of it.
The sequence of event is like this:
Traveling down a busy road in melbourne into city to work, just before St. Kilda road in the city, there is a network confusing turns and merging lanes.
Just when I notice the lane I was in which will be turning left is empty, I move in and continue down the path so I can turn into Queens way. At one of the aprticular cross section, suddenly I noticed an ambulance is flashing want to cross the section (its direction has a red light at the time being, while my direction is green), No sirens, but just flashing light. Since every car stopped, so jsut in case, I break quickly to ensure I do sop at the cross section. I stopped in time and with plenty of space left, but next thing you know, I hear a scritching sound and "Bang"! my head was thrown back abit, but didn't not come off my bike (And right in front of a bunch of pedestrian as well!). In fact, tail section of my bike got stucked in the front grill section of a Mercede Benz 4WD, and 4WD's bumper bar got stucked between my wheel and my tail section.
It is a scary moment I have to say, but I am glad I'm not injured. I pulled aside and the 4WD driver also pulled aside, and the ambulance stopped and check on me to make sure I am OK, and not injury from backlash as well.
I have no visible injury, but just abit nervous, as adrenaline just started to kick in. I also checked on the bike, nothing seems to eb broken except the registration plate was bent, and the indicator light's bulb popped out of it socket (still in the housing though), all else seems fine. Where as the other driver, after he reversed abit away from my car, his bumper bar dropped off onto the road, and maybe abit of radiaotr damage as well.
Overal experience, this is 2nd time I involve in an accident (well, 3rd time if you include previous time where taxi driver reverse into me), and I am glad the out come are favouratable for me...... ANd I learned the lesson never tell the missus, because that will end up my parent find out, and I will be forbidden to ride for ever.
