Yesterday I had 3 choices
1. Go shopping with the whole family for food, clothes and other shyte
2. Stay home with the youngest
3. Take the youngest a little 250km ride on some new roads.
Anyway, needless to say lunch was at Macca's in Gundagai. From there we went up the Brungle road and then headed on to, for me, unknown roads. Turned left at the Brungle/Coolac road intersection. This road is narrow, 'cresty', tight and good fun. Then took the Adjungbilly road for around 40km to the Wee Jasper/Tumut intersection, turned round and back tracked to Coolac on another nice road. Even though I was taking it easy with the young bloke on the back, and given the 'Double Demerit Points weekend, (nothing over 120 and rarely over 110) the tyres and gearbox got a reasonable workout
Stopped in at the "Dog on the Tucker Box" for arvo tea, then went home via Nangas and Wantabadgery.
Brilliant day, good roads and really good father/son bonding session. I think this could the next group ride - maybe with an extension from Coolac to Cootamundra thrown in.
