Finally..... a Place I can actually call Home ........
« on: September 23, 2008, 05:26:31 AM »
Finally, I have purchased my own home, settlement in 60 days..... so in 60 days, I will definitely have a place of my own.
No more asking in-law to borrow garage space to do some minor work on my bike, or store my bike related items...... I will finallyl have my own garage to do some REAL work on the bike !!! woohoo !!!

  :congrats: :beers:

It's sooo nice to have a garage!!  When we were house shopping, Mrs. Red was always most interested in the kitchen layout, I was always concerned about the garage.  Our first house had a 2-car, but that was too small, so subsequent homes have had bigger ones - and still cars end up parked outside.

So true about the Kitchen ... the Mrs already complain about the Kitchen is too small when I decided that is the house (eh .... yes, the mrs actually didn't see the house until after I put in an offer.... and btw, its the Mrs is the one who said "If you like it, just put in an offer. I don't have the time go see it, but if you like it, just offer it")

But then, I think Kitchen is third object compare to the rest of the house......comfort comes first... and Garage comes second :P waahahahaa

I'm lucky, "The Treasurer" rides as well, so she understands the value of having a good garage, probably better than me if the truth be told.

We to have just taken the huge step  :yikes: too.
But it kinda backwards for us, with all the shed stuff now in the new garage, Iv'e kinda run out of room for the bikes. :annoy:
But one day when we are both a lot older and a hellva lot greyer we might be able to say we own it, for now we are just renting from the bank. :banghead:

But have I said "the Views are awesome". and the 4 roads out of town, yes there is only 4 ways in and out, are the ducks nuts to a motorcyclist. :trustme: :trustme: :trustme:

Yes roll on summer, thats if we can afford the petrol that is :rant2:
Foot loose and fancy free.

you guys are all so lucky!  we took the house plunge this year and have no garage right now.  :banghead: But the house is nice (as is the kitchen actually) and it's in a good neighborhood and close to a good school. (how priorities change)
However plans are to build a garage within two years...for now the other half has decided to 'tarp' in the deck for the bikes in winter it will look; questionable and the neighbors will complain but the bikes will be dry.  :bandit:
Just think of us garage less folk while you pull your bikes in and work in the warm and dry.
