G'day Everyone
« on: January 22, 2009, 01:22:01 AM »
G'day Everyone,
I have owned a Bandit 1250S since June 2008. Overall I am quite happy with the bike.
My pillion partner and I enjoy day rides and a weekend away, where we are known to sample the odd drop of Shiraz. Love the McLaren Vale area, Langhorne Creek, Clare Valley (my favourite) and Coonawarra.
I have, in recent years owned the mighty Busa and also the ZX14. Somewhere along the way my hobby became a passion so these days I don't fight it, just enjoy the hell out of motorcycling.
My Bandit has a Staintune muffler and connecting pipe and has a power commander and air cleaner replacement. The bike has been dyno tuned and returns just over 115 bhp with no detrimental effect to the lovely smooth torque curve. Other than that, she is pretty stock. I may chrome or polish the chain guard and radiator end covers and purchase a double bubble tinted screen just to satisfy the "bling factor" but really, I like it the way it is. Extremely good riderbility with a comfortable riding position and nice smooth power right where I require it.
If I had the money, I would fill a shed up with bikes but seeing as though I realistically can only have 1 I think the Bandit fits the bill nicely.
Anyway, nice to make your acquaintance. I hope to meet up with some of you in the near future.
Oh yeah, I'm 60 years old. Some people never grow up eh?
Regards
Chopper

Hi Chopper, :welcome:

Reading your note has inspired me to break into words after a lengthy time off.
I also have a 1250 and I am intrigued about you chroming the chain guard and the cooler end covers. My bike has polished aluminium bits in these positions. Are your bits not the same?
