Has Anyone Noticed the Aussie Part of the Board Is Slower??
« on: April 21, 2006, 05:25:52 PM »
Just kidding!

Actually I wanted to invite all the aussie/nz riders to my place in canada this summer.  I live close to niagara falls and toronto so you can come and sight see and use my place as a free b&b.

Toronto, don't forget, has the CN tower , which is the world's largest freestanding pen!s, not a word of a lie.  It's because all canucks have small ones, so this one big one makes up for all of those others.

We are pretty relaxed and around quite a bit as we have summers off.

Anybody heading this way?

Jim

Oh, I see how you are... offer up free lodging to the Down-Underers, but not to your kin across the border.

Fine then... I'll spend my vacation money somewhere else then.

Aruba sounds nice.  :beers:

Okay, Paul, you can come, but only YOU!  (and it's just cuz you whined so much!)

Freaky how much time I spend on the aussie board.  The canuck one is just DEAD - maybe I could email myself??  That way I would always find somebody to agree with!

That's because several of you Canadians keep posting here instead of your own area...  :stickpoke:

The Aussies and Kiwis are a shy, retiring folk.  They see all these foreigners posting in their space and get intimidated.  They're like squirrels...if you all shut up for a little while they'll come back down out of the trees to forage!

Ya know I hadnt noticed that the Aussies were any slower than the rest of us.  In fact, there have been times when I thought they were downright smart.

But, I guess everyone has their own opinion :stickpoke:

We're not slow, just ask all the riders in the AMA and World Superbike championship about how SLOW us Aussies are.........

As for being intimidated, again I'll point you to the AMA and World Superbikes.

But, you're right, we have been a bit quiet here.  That's because we've been out RIDING in the glorious Autumn weather.

And I think the reason that the Canadians keep posting here is because they get to converse with a better class of person...

Yes ANZAC Day, a damn good day to go for a ride. I sure my relo's that gave up their lives, would be smiling down on us and our hard fought for freedoms. I've been in the shed making the bikes all pretty. So we can really take pride in our ANZAC day ride.

And a damn good thing too, The B6 was a accident waiting for a place to happen. Rear caliper bolts, 1 missing all together, the other loose. Glad I found that, before sometthing nasty happened. phew.

I'll be doing the dawn service thing....if I get out of bed.....then I'll go and watch the march down the main street....maybe....

Sorry, it's not that I'm not proud to be an Aussie, and it's not that I don't appreciate what the ANZACs did for this wide brown land of ours........

It's just that after 13 years of HAVING to do Dawn Services and ANZAC Day Parades dressed in my nice RAAF Uniform, I'v decided to have a year or two off....

If the finances can bear it, I may take a ride into the hills, or I might just sit down and watch Essendon give Collingwood a football lesson.....

I'm not an Essendon fan, it's just that like every good AFL supporter I follow two teams, mine and who ever is playing Collingwood....

speaking of a ride in the hills....my youngster talked me into taking his 05 rm 250 suzuki on my first trail ride,at 52 ,on a 75 km ,yep 75km ride through 4 farms in dargaville ,northland, through fast open farmland to 2 lengthy pine forest sections that were wet wet and wetter, with the bike with somebody like me on it basically trying to biff me off all day,i survived but when i walked in the door i went straight to the bandit and took its blanket off and told ot how wonderfull it was,i 'm still hobbling around after 4 days,so take it from me ,i think a bike like that and a rider like mr ,is a definate missmatch...slo
