You yuppy you....... :stickpoke:

Just love moving - mind you we haven't moved for 9 years - but being ex defence I know all about moving house - at least the RAAF took care of the actual removal - I just had to make lots of trips to the tip.

We spent last weekend down in Melbourne (Pt Cook and Caroline Springs) for my neices wedding.  This acheived two things.

1.  Proved just how old I am, and
2.  Made the decision NOT to move down there so much easier.  Just gotta love family politics.  I'm so glad we are 6 hours away from all that crap and only need to get involved via the occaisonal phone call or email - WE DON'T HAVE TO LIVE IT.

Yes, well you can pick ya friends, but family, well lets just say, me being the black sheep and all, I havn't had that problem for (Shyte its been 30 odd years) as I have nothing to do with them.

Don't get me wrong Mick, I love my family, and fortunately so does Janice, but, and it's a big but, I just can't handle the shyte they carry on with sometimes.

This weekend for example - Kris (the eldest) decided he didn't want to go to the wedding - he felt that studying for his pending HSC, plus work and sporting comittments (his team is in the finals) were more important.  What very few of them understand is that if we'd made him go he would have made life extremely difficult, as only a 17 (yearly 18) year old can do.

One of my family then tried to tell us how we should 'bring up' our sons.  I pointed out to them that when they have a teenage boy and a pre teen boy, then come and talk to me- until then shut the phuck up.

Ouch, even if a non family member was to put their five cents worth in about raising teenagers, they would cop a mouthful, man I don't know your pain, but I sure as hell know about the grief a female 17, oophs sorry, now 18 year old, can dish out. But the problem is every single one of the little shytes is different. In fact, I tip my hat to your eldest, for seeing that his schooling in his HSC year, is  most important and his future depends upon it. Also sticking to his commitment to his sports teams, and adjudication duties, shows of good morales and unbringing.

Job well done, to you both....
As I say ya can pick ya friends..........................

Teenagers can be fun...I'm on my last two now (girl 14 and boy 17) with the other 3 all over 20.

It's good to hear your eldest takes his school and sports seriously, that IS good, but family is still important too, and weddings are supposed to be only one each.

Ah...the joys of parenthood. :bigok:

Yep, I've always tried to instill in both our boys that if you make a committment to something you see it through to the end and not 'jump ship' at the last minute.

It was disappointing that he didn't go to the wedding, but, in hindsight it was probably a good thing - he has less tact than Janice or myself - so he would have 'let loose' at the silly going ons.

Yes family is important, and I wish I had one, other than the disfuntional lot I was born into.

The joke is that I'm the black sheep, well I guess, well at least I havn't had my face on just about every state daily newspaper, for having an affair with a minor, who just happened to be a student, at a good old church run school, not only a teacher but a minister at that.
Yes I may not talk with a plumb in my mouth, but I'm a man of my word, and proud of it. I call a spade a spade, and guess what, I'm proud of it. But one thing I ain't is a  hypocrite. And thats the good cousin.

Shall I tell you how my step father was porking my aunty before he married my mum. And how I was written out of the family will, because I wouldn't give up riding motorcycles,,,, the best is yet to come, when my step father was porking her, he only had a motorcycle, yep you got it she used to get around on the back
But I guess that all goes out the window when you marry into big heaps of money. :annoy:  :annoy:  :annoy:
The same woman was the sole reason for the splits within the family, it seems that money gives one the wright to tell people how to lead thier lives, and how to bring up thier children          I was the first to tell her to shove it where the sun don't shine, but money had its grip on a lot of the family.

Now one guess whos son, is the minister of disrepute?

Oh yeh the money, well ain't this sweatner
Dear uncle had it all invested, lost the lot the, house the dino, the efen lot, in the big stock market crash.......

How poetic.......... don't you think?
Oh and where are they the ones who struck by you through thick and thin...........? hmmm good question.

As I said and they have the cheek to call me the black sheep.
