REDBACKS EL PRESEDENTE

Mick, just thought I'd let you know El Presedente (Neil) has sold the ST2 and is now the proud owner of a ZRX1200 Lawson Replica.....

He sold the ST2 because he felt it, the clutch particularly, wasn't coping with towing the trailer.

Personally, knowing how much he probably lost on the deal, I would have sold the trailer.

By the way, speaking of needing a trailer, or not, did you get your gear back from Humula alright....

Hmm Neil did show a bit of interest in the ZRX, but I would not have thought he was that interested.

In regard to getting our gear back, yep 2 working days later, it was delievered to our door, for less than $20.
So happy with Aust post, and its service, I will never lug gear around on the back of the bike again. If there is a post office around thats the way to go. Even when we did the snowy trip at xmas. Nothing missing nothing broken, bloody remarkable. :bigok:

Well, at least they can get something right....

the bstards keep delivering my mail to some else in a street nearby, but with a vastly different name......

Neil had been looking for a replacement for the ST2 for a while.  I'd tried to talk him in to a B12, but he was looking at XJR1300, GSX1400 and the ZRX1200.  He had considered the new BMW K1200, but he was supposed to have said "that's too much bike for me"

I'm not quite sure what he meant, but considering the ST2 was the first fared bike he'd owned maybe he felt that the wieght was to much.....

I'm sure he will like the ZRX, you know, mine is slowly growing on me, as i'm slowly getting things sorted. Its now handling so much better now, but having said that its taken quite a bit of trial and error setting it up.
In fact when I first got it on the road I thought it was a big piece on pelican shyte, when it came to getting it to go round a corner. I quite literally had to hang of the side of the thing to get it to tip in.

Then there's the seat......

Mind you without being rude about it, Neil has a bit more padding than you......You should have seen him riding his old M750.....

Yes I'd forgotten about that Item.
But then again I think my ass is still numb from riding back from the once bitten rally
