Rubbish bin to radiator guard
« on: January 28, 2008, 05:21:59 AM »
Being the tightass I am, and knowing(well I hope you know WTFenhell have you been doing) the dramas I’ve had with the rex radiator. I’ve been looking for a radiator cover/ screen. FMS WTF the prices are crap or the covers are crap some even suffered both.

So the minister of war and I was strolling through the local recycling depot when I found this

And turned it into this

Total cost $1 plus an hour or 2 stuffing about.

One man's trash, is another's treasure.  Nice job, looks great and even better it looks like it will work perfectly.

Gives it a real retro hand finished look, nice! Funny to think that if someone was selling the materials for that in a plug and play kit, they would be charging a small fortune.

I just hope you don't have to 'test' it.

Oh well, maybe we can turn on another locust plague for you when you come up for the rally :stickpoke: :stickpoke:

Bring it on. Hang on I'll have to build a suit out of the stuff, cause I now remember the pain,
from the last plague you had me ride through. :taz: :taz:

I don't think you'll have anything to worry about this year.

We've got a ride on Sunday to Humula to have a chat with the locals about the Rally and work out the best time to do a site clean up.  I don't know if 'The Treasurer' and I'll be going, I don't get paid until next week and money is a bit tight.  Particularly now that 'The Eldests' KLR has shyte itself - electrical problem - could be expensive.

From our end (The Redbacks) I think everything is coming together, unfortunately I haven't had a lot of spare time lately so haven't really been involved.
