Did she do it?

Well fwiw it doesnt matter - she will be imprisoned thats for sure.

I do wonder why Aussies keep going to Bali and up that way, when they are getting bombed and imprisoned by the idiots that run around in those countries :?:

I agree with you Marty - I don't know if she did or didn't do it - there's too much doubt.  I think in a Aussie court she'd be found not guilty.  But over there, who knows.

As for going to Bali etc for holidays, the reason Aussies do that, is because it's cheaper to go to Bali for a holiday than it is to travel in Oz.

As for those other dick heads that got caught smuggling drugs taped to their bodies - they deserve everything they get.  Remove them from the gene pool.

you've summed that up well aussie, who knows??    but they don't seem to value life as we do,definatley a different culture to us,iwouldn't go there, daughter just got back from there, she took enough gear to live for 12 days in a small backpack which she kept locked and didn't let it out of her sight, not my idea of a holiday.

And she got 20 years, I'm not going to debate, whether its right or wrong,
But why oh why, ( Now me Not being a dope guru ) would anyone try to take drugs (Dope) from this country to Bali, surely they grow enough of their own. Shyte in the 70's the stuff was coming from there to here. 2 and 2 don't add up to 4, for me. Something smells rotten.

Seems like at least ONE good excuse to stop visiting the country.
(I had to look up Schapelle Corby on the 'net!)

It doesn't make sense to smuggle the stuff into Bali, since it's cheaper to buy it there.
   BUT....people do stupid stuff!

Maybe this is some sort of Moslem plot to destroy the tourist economy?

I never really planned on going to Bali, but now I'm convinced not to.  I think I'll save my money, and go to Tassie with the bikes and fishing rods.

Then, maybe, just maybe, if I can save a lot of money, go to UNZUD, with the bikes and the fishing rods.

Aussie trust me if you ain't ever ridden around tassie, man ya just gotta do it. The most awesome roads and scenery in all of Oz. It maybe a small state but ya need at least 2 weeks. Awesome Awesome Awesome.
We went for 2 weeks and didn't even take the rods. St Helens to Scottsdale, be prepared to get creamed by chicks on suzuki across's 250cc. On the old Fj12 was totally creamed had to give in, ran outta brakes, cooked them big time. But man it was fun. And the rd out to lake Pedder, stuff dreams are made of.

Yeh just like it. Only difference being it goes for longer than 80 k's.
I don't know if its because we where from outta state, but the cops over there seem to be reasonable about speed, we got sprung a coupe of times well over the speed limit, but not being total squids. And the boys in blue didn't even batter an eye lid. I have heard this from others too.
I word of warning, huge lack of advisory corner speed signs, and when you do see one, you would betta beleive it. I near came a cropper, I forgot about where I was, a doubled the adviced speed like I do here at home. oooophs. I did need a change of underwear :duh:
