Told ya I'd call back in
« on: October 19, 2011, 07:24:08 AM »
Hi guys and Gals,

Nothing to much to report,  :duh: New job but  travelling all over the place, enjoying the sites, mind you can live without the snakes, out big time in the north east and central Vic. Big pissed off browns and angry tigers enough to make one shyte 13 different colors. now the drought has broken plenty of favorite snake foods about frogs and mice.

Any of our Ozzie riders be carefull, this summer.

FZ1 running sweet as, at last a set of Hel brake lines, to aid the braking, oh yeah they look preddy too.
And now running 009's front and rear. On my second rear 009 and the first 009 for the front, dont know whether I just had a dud 005, but wore real strange, and developed lumps on both sides just off centre, figured it was down to heat stress, so went the harder option thus far 6,000 k's on very happy.

Hope everyone is well, and will report in again soon or soonish.

Hey Wizard must catch up soon, there is a couple of good rides coming up.

Just a heads up on the 009's....  I had the exact thing thing happen.  Out of nowhere lumps formed in the tire about 1/3 of the circumference.  Cut a section out and found separation.  Too bad since I had 9,800 miles and plenty of tread left.  Now a couple of riding buds are reporting the same thing with Shinko's 009's so check those tires often.  Too bad, cuz they're (were) some of the best ones around.

On another note - thanks for the update.  Keep 'em coming when you have time.

Finally.... tire (or is it tyre?) pic for your amusement.  :duh:

Yeah... Dave's, mine and another local guy had 2 or 3 go bad the same way.  There's a real problem with the 009 Raven front tires IMHO.  I have not contacted Shinko but something is going on.
