I want to try out some Pirelli Diablo Strada tires. I don't think they come in 110/70 for the front. What do you guys think about 120/60 front with 160/60 rear? Stock size is 110/70f and 150/70r. I've been rideing on a 160/70r with the 110/70f, I want to try something newer. My rideing is mostly freeway, but we have some great ramps. . . lol. I ride home late night so the freeway is very empty and seams to run faster.

I haven't check my rim size, will this tire fit my stock rim? I heard a 120 was too fat for the rim??

I want more miles, the BT020 is ok on milage but the BT010 really wore out fast, faster then my back tire! I never really got to like that BT010 too much.

I have a '97 B6 and run a 120/70 front and a 160/60 rear. No problems with the front tire and clearance, if fact it looks a lot better. If you do a lot of hiway riding the bigger tire is better for stability. I run the BT 010s and the front is great. The back is wearing fast, I had a flat spot by about 2k miles. The 010, which is now replaced by the 014, is a soft compound tire so this was expected. I would got with the 020s.

I have a 160/60 on the rear and a 120/60 on the front of my B6, not only does the 120 fit, it cleared up the speedo "error".

I changed tires on my bike a month ago, 97 B6, 120/70 Front and 170/60 rear .. Looks great and runs like a dream... I recomend it.. Great clearance on the 170 rear..

Set of Pirelli Diablo Strada tires (120/60f and 160/60r) ordered along with some Galfer lines for the front $315.55 .
Install hopefuly monday.

Just getting ready for winter.

Crap I forgot to check my rotors, mike them asap.
New rotors are what? About $200 each (EBC).

I was so happy they didn't try and charge $150 a tire..
Front was $91.95 and rear was $112.95

Well I did get the Pirelli Diablo Strada tires (120/60f and 160/60r) mounted and installed. They look great. I'm doing a valve adjustment and putting some brake pads on the back and installing some ss brake line up front so I haven't even rolled the bike around on them yet. I also need to do some carb work before I can sync them, my idle speed screw snapped off and its on back order. Luckly my idle rpm's are within specs still. I think I'll order a PAIR removel kit when Dale opens so I don't have to try and squeeze that thing back in.

The B6 front must be a 3.5in rim- it will be stamped on the wheel like: DOT 17x3.5. A 120 is standard on a 3.5 in wheel, Suzuki must have put a 110 on the early B6's to quicken the steering.

A 170 rear is too wide for a 4.5in rim, you are better off with a 160. Putting on too wide of a tire will not allow the tire to fully open up and will effectively reduce your contact patch.

If the 120 front does slow the steering down a bit, try raising the fork tubes 1 inch in the triples. You will be amazed at the difference.

Well I got off work to find that some one took a razor to my new front tire

(Pirelli Diablo Strada 120/60/17)

So when I wake up I need to go get a new tire mounted.
I need the tire NOW so what other tires will work if I cant get the same one NOW......that is if my bikes still there

not much I can do at 2am.

Well I ended up getting a Pirelli Diablo, its a little softer then a Strada but should work well with the Strada I have on the back. I really wanted to see how many miles I could put on that Strada front Strada rear combo. The cut was only about 1/4 inch long and was made by the corner of a razor box cutter. What a waste.

chupacabra, what size front did you end up with in the diablo? I am getting ready to get tires and I was thinking about the regular diablo front at 110/70 with the Strada rear 160/60.

I got a 120/60 front and 160/60 rear both Strada's.
Someone took a knife to my front tire that only had just been broken in.
I just started pushing it harder so I can't really comment too much.
I have a regular diablo on now, but I'm not pushing too hard.
I need to change my head bearing, I have notchy steering, bikes not tracking so good right now.
I also need to change my fork oil and check my spacers.
I'm getting a wooble when I start too lean, Kind of scares me, like the rear lets go from hitting oil.
That feeling only happens when I jump on the I163 S curves into downtown, tires and the road are cold and I'm riding ez.
Its a concrete freeway with groves cut into it.
It was doing something before the tire change that felt different but still the wooble.
I need to get my forks and bearing fixed up before I can talk about the tires.
If you buy a Strada rear you can get a free Strada front.

I know about the free deal but Roamr told me, and this makes sense, that if I put a 120 on the front that my steering will slow down. I guess that is because the steering geometry is off or something because you have more rubber to get the front down and over. At least that is what I got out of it. Maybe that is part of what you are experiencing.

I don't know about the real difference between the 110 and 120 front. I know at least on Gen 1 B6s it was probably for cost cutting. The stock tires on Gen 1 B6s are grim units. They are a B-stone Excedra which I've only seen this tire recommended for Goldwings. I just noticed more stability with the 120 on the front but again there was a huge quality difference on what I replaced.
