In case you missed
PART 1 here's an update.
I remember the day I picked up my Bandit - cold, gray and misty... somehow it's fitting that today was the same - cold, gray and misty. It only took 4 years, 7 months and 6 days but I finally got there...

A few numbers to consider...
50 oil changes with 25 filters
Only on my second replacement chain
Only on my second replacement front brake pads
OEM rear brake pads still in place
OEM plastics still in place
OEM clutch still in place
OEM engine/pistons/motor still in place
Suzuki really got this one right. I don't abuse my bikes but I like to have fun with them. My Bandit has been to the drag strips, carved corners, commuted, toured, and stunted if you consider the occasional roll-on wheelie a stunt. It still keeps on going and has never failed me. When the question comes up "How long does a Bandit last?" maybe you can link to this thread... should answer the question quite well.
Along the way I've made a lot of friends, learned a lot about riding, learned some stuff about myself, enjoyed a lot of good food, fun and fellowship. I look forward to the next 100K. Thanks for checking the thread out.
