You can strap it - they even make a specialized strap for such a thing.

Schnitz Racing sells them.

Thier strap attaches to a brake caliper mount and then over the triple tree, and then back to the other caliper bolt on the other side. You then "pull" the strap to the desired height and let go. It basically works just like a motorcycle tie down does and with a little creativity on your part, you could probably whip something up for less than the specialized strap.

CAUTION!  I used to go to the strip alot with my buddies and would run my bike with straps as the extended swingarm thing really irks me.  Anyhow,  two years ago the track near me in Leichester, NY would not allow straps anymore.  They were deemed unsafe!!  They aren't really unsafe but I just thought I would mention this in case your local 1/4 miler is the same as mine.
There are no stupid questions,  only stupid people asking questions!

There is not enough clearance between my brake caliper and my brake rotor.  I don't know how its supposed to mount up, I could just be retarded but for some reason me and a good friend of mine could not get it mounted up

I'm guessing you'd use one of the bolts that holds the caliper to the fork leg and the eye on the strap would go just under the bolt head. If there's not engough room for it to fit due to the bolt head being recessed, then a long bolt and a spacer to get the bolt head out to a point where there is enough room.

I had to grind the edge of the strap bracket to make it fit my 2003 b12.
