I did the first carb sync on my 2003 B12 (just bought it in March w/ 1000 miles). The position of the little nipples on the carbs is just awful and it is difficult to get the caps off and put them back on, particularly without burning your hands, sooooooo.... I bought some vacuum tubing and some connectors originally made for drip irrigation. I cut three lengths of tubing, put those on the nipples, put the adaptor on the open end, then closed the adaptor with the original rubber caps and... voila! Now if I have to sync the carbs, I just take off the rubber caps and connect the tubes of the synchronizer right there. In fact, since I kept the tubes on the long side, I could do it without removing the tank!
