Corbin Seat for the B1250

It looks like Corbin finally came out with a seat for the 1250 Bandit.

I don't think I like the style of the seat. The stitching is a little too much for my style. I am interested to see what the Sargent seat will look like. Sargent's pricing is a little better too.

I have an update about my Corbin purchase on my B.A. blog (see http://forums.banditalley.net/index.php?action=felblog;sa=manager;cont=18), for those who were following along over the past...six months?!  Order placed in August, seat arrives in October, 2nd seat arrives in March...just shoot me now.

I got mine from Corbin and have been riding on it for about two weeks.  Yeah, I'm not very happy with how long they're took (ordered in late April--arrived middle of June) but I do like the product.  It also looks better than the website indicates, the stitching isn't as pronounced in my opinion--it's a slimmed down version of the seat they've been selling for the 1200s and 600s.  It does two things--it reduced the overall seat height on the bike and moved the seating position in toward the tank.  It may look crusierish, but I can ride it all day and get off and still be able to walk.

The back rest is the biggest selling point for a Corbin seat, IMO.   

It's quickly removable, so you don't have to look dorky all the time... and it works well.  (At least on my 2nd Gen 1200)

That Sargent Cycle seat looks very nice . I can't wait to get mine. I have been pre-registered for it for about 10 months now.

A couple of weeks ago I made an appointment at Corbin to be fitted for a seat for my '08 1250.  When I got there at 7am, they already had the pan and foam done.  I sat on it and they marked and reshaped it 3 times and then had me go for a short ride.  I mentioned than I thought the Bandit seat shown on their web site looked too 'cruiserish' for me.  They said they would do any kind of stitching or design I would like.  I chose "plain".  They had one of the 200 folks in the back sew up the cover, mounted it to the pan/foam.  I was out the door by 11am.  Great service.
The seat is much lower and wider and I am trying to get used to it.  The jury is still out.

They said to give it 1500 miles.

You would think that for such claimed quality, comfort, and price they would have designed the seat to fit on the B1250 with the top case rack set up. "This seat model currently is not designed to fit with the Givi top case rack.". I think I can use the $450 to buy some more important accessories like a navigator, music system, and cam, and still have enough left over for some gel foam to do the job myself.

I like the way the seat looks but it looks like it slightly slopes towards the gas tank like the stock seat.......that's the only thing I don't like about the stock seat.
How much is the Sargent seat?
