Has anyone changed their stock 2G mirrors on the S models?  I have an 04 1200S and want to change the mirrors to something a little more sporty/closer in.  Anyone done this??  Pics would be nice if you have...

Kiley :thanks:

I say take the mirrors off and buy one of thoughs helmets with the mirrors built in.....or not...but for real I don't use my mirrors that much I usally just turn my head and take a peak.

I want to get the mirrors from the 06 Bandit. I think they are the same as what's on the Katana. My 02 mirrorss with the rubber boot are loose at the rivet joint.
Do or do not, there is no try.

Kiley - I have the same bike as you, and I've looked everywhere for nicer mirrors and found nothing.  If you turn something up, lemme know!

I replaced my stock mirrors with Motrax bar end mirrors from Indysuperbikes.com.
They are CRG copies...kind of crudely done...at about $55 a pair including shipping.
They claim to be machined from billet aluminum, but they are actually castings.
They work great, though.  No vibration whatsoever and no shoulders or elbows in the mirrors.
I closed the stock mounting holes with plastic plugs from Lowes.

I was wondering how bar-end  mirrors would look on an "S."  Could you please post a pic?

I have the Lockhart Philips Chicane mirrors on my bike.  They look good but they stick out a bit far.

I love my stockers, doin about 75-80 mphs at dusk and that car coming up from behind, the head lights are on and in the quiver it kinda looks like theres a little tiny flash of blue in there. Is it a cop with the lights on i just cant be sure, I didnt see one parked back there but maybe I just didnt see him, those lights are dancin like crazy..... is it a cop..... should I slow down. I just dont know..... is that a cop.

Rizoma makes mirrors that will fit the Bandit.  To be precise, they make mirror mount adaptors that will allow fitting their mirrors to the Bandit.  The mirrors are VERY expensive though: ca. $150 EACH!   I will say that I have some Rizoma billet on my Monster (including a pair of mirrors), and their products are top-notch.  So, despite the ridiculous price, I'll eventually get a pair of these mirrors.

Those are very nice indeed.

I have been shopping around also for mirrors, my goal is to get rid of the mouse ears look of the 2G mirrors. The Rizoma units would work nicely although they are quite pricey.

I tried GSXR mirrors, they bolted up nicely but due to the angle of the fairing being different, they did not have enough range of motion to swivel properly and provide a good view.

Thanks, Ed.  That's good info.  I never even thought of trying the GSXR mirrors.
