flush mount turn signals
« on: January 08, 2006, 03:08:49 PM »
I put some flush mount turn signals on my 2005 bandit 1200s but they are to big and not the look i was after. Is there a company that makes custom flush mount blinkers for a bandit ? Has anyone put some flush mounts on there bandit that look good?

I'm looking for the same thing and haven't found anything to my liking yet. They are either too small, you have to drill the fairing to mount them, they are practically invisible, etc. The only ones I fount that would pass are these:

http://www.watsendesign.com/products/current/031KFROSIG/index.html

The problem is that I have many other things I would rather spend $130+ on. Here is what I want and I don't think I'm asking too much:

- LED and LED only. I don't want to replace bulbs, ever.
- They should have dual intensity so they can be used as running lights.
- Clearly visible from the front, preferably from the sides as well.
- No drilling of the fairing permitted. That's what double sticky is for.

In the end, they don't really have to be flush mount as long as they don't stick like a sore thumb.

I'll keep looking and post if I find something that meets my stringent criteria.

The ones for GSXR look like they would fit the bandit. The cost is too prohibitive for me to inquire further, but I guess the best way is to ask the manufacturer for dimensions.

They look very nice, thank you for the pointer snubnoze. The price isn't as steep either, we just have to find out if they will fit the bandit.

I spoke to the guy via e-mail, he said they would fit the hole, just like the GSXR (same size/pattern) however, the receeded vertical plastic panel would probably have to be trimmed a bit more as the Gixxer inside holes look a little diff/bigger to the bandits, but that this is something that is completely covered by the blinker. This is what he said (taken from my e-mail from them) "yes they will fit but you will have to cut open the the rear inside seat of the stock turn signal hole , the will come out 1/8 from the panel , we have sold many yet and no complaints, Thanks Erik"
