Givi (#TN392) & Renntec (REN10084B & REN10084C) make guards for the Bandit 600. IMHO, these are better than the Suzuki ones.

Are the ebay ones new or used? I thought the Suzuki ones were only available thru Suzuki dealers. Probably the cheapest dealer source for them is Ron Ayers... or at least compare Ron's price ($94.18 for the B12 ones - which is all that's currently available, but are the same as the B6 ones except they're black instead of silver) to the ebay prices.

There's no pic on the Givi site for the B6, but they look like their B12's guards - and come black:

The Renntec guards look like the Givi guards, but come in black or chrome. (They have a B12 version, too.)

Holeshot also makes guards, but only for the B12.

Holeshot make some as well. I don't know if they make one for the 600 but a e-mail could answer that. Personally I prefer just to use NRC case covers. I lowsided at the track on the right about 60 mph and only lost a bar end weight, Had to replace the muffler and I didn't have to replace my NRC cover but it was ground pretty good. Here's the Holeshot bars:

Good friends, good times

The 600 isn't listed on the Holeshot site as applicable to the nerf bars. There must be some difference in the frame or I'm sure Dale would have listed them as fitting.

Might as well throw NRC covers into the mix then, too.

All three will (or should) protect the engine in case things go horizontal.

Pete has some experience with the OEM Suzuki guards NOT doing the job though.

Personally, I don't care for the cluttered looks the case guards give. Holeshot's are the most subtle of the bunch, but not available for the B6.

I opted for the NRC covers myself.

Check out bandit mania for Sliders/mushrooms. I have The red and carbon look(its a sticker) sliders and I love 'em (cept for the cheesy stickers)

No, but they are quite similar... either engine will swap into either frame and they use the same bodywork. Gas tanks are the same except for the 600's lack of a provision for a fuel gauge sendor.

I would go with an aftermarket guard.  I have the Suzuki guards, they're ok.  I got mine for $30 on ebay brand new so thats why I got them.  My biggest gripe is that they cover the ignition cover bolts so you have to remove them if you want to access the ignition.

I got a pair of SW-MOTECH guards for my '01 B600.  You can find them from TwistedThrottle.com.  HAven't dropped it yet, so I don't know how well they work, but they look pretty nice.
