In my hast and stupidity I DL'd the "codec" and am now in a world of hurt. First thing in the morn and half asleep. No, really I have no excuse. Am presently trying to get rid of Virusburst with a program called Spyhunter which for all I know is another virus masqurading as a spyware hunting program.

Tose types of viruses are a pain.....I run Norton, spybot, lavasoft and panda...Norton caught it and didn't instantly and deleted it.  Unfortunately wankers do that.  A good think to do is run your virus programs and clear out ALL of your temp files (Internet explorer, and system temp files) Make sure to uninstall the codec you SHOULD be good to go.  But like I said Norton caught it.
