compatibility of new and old
« on: May 03, 2008, 05:15:58 PM »
Hey everybody, wizzo and I compared both bikes (06 and 03 bandit 1200) and the rear grab handle connect points are IDENTICAL in every way, we even swapped grab handles the only difference was colour!. This COOL discovery stands to reason that all 3rd generation bandits would be the same also (same body), So if your looking for compatible equipment/gear, you can expand your search to include both generation bandits now (at least in the rear rack connect points). The frame looks identical (for all intents and purposes). With this in Mind, the new OEM hard luggage (Givi knock-off) for the 3rd gen bandit should fit 2nd gen just fine!.. don't let dubious marketing strategies tell you different!

This couldn't be more typical but in todays example, conducted earlier, with the Renntec rear rack wizzobeer bought from me!
