G2 Seat on a G1

Hello,
From searching is see that G1 1200 and 600 seats are interchangeable. So are G2's... but will a G2 seat fit on a G1?  If not, what's the difference.

I'm not sure what the difference is, but gen.1 and gen.2 seats are not interchangeable. :annoy:

The difference is they are different shapes.  :trustme:
The G1/G2 bikes have different frames, tail section bodywork and tank shapes, so the seats have different shaped seat pans.
