Givi V35?
« on: May 27, 2008, 01:30:46 PM »
Anybody try to mount these on a 1200? Givi hast the rack for the 1250 but not the 1200. I was wondering whether anybody has tried to modify the mounting system to make them work...

I don't know where you were looking for the mounting racks, but the Givi USA site still lists racks for the 1200 Bandits...  :bandit:

I'm pretty sure the V35 takes a different rack than the other side cases. They don't show a V35 application for the 1200's.

Ahh! I didn't realize the V35 used a different rack system.  :duh:

I've got a set of these mounted on my B1250--SW MOTECH makes a removable mounting system that fits these bags specifically and also for the B1200s (got mine through Twisted Throttle).  With the racks off, you have small (>3" mounting bars on the passenger pegs & grab handle; U bracket on the rear fender) pieces left that are easy to miss.  You just need to be careful to ensure that the exhaust can is low enough that it clears the right bag.  Very stable and secure.
