Greetings of a owner of a 650s and a question
« on: October 06, 2011, 06:35:21 AM »
Greetings
I have a B650 from 2006 and I love the bike.

But recently it falls from my hands to the right side. It damaged the exhaust.
I need to change that can but i want to keep the original look. i have the opportunity to get a B1250 exhaust can from the same year.
DO you think that B1250 exhaust fixes directly to my b650? Is it "plug and play"?

Hey ubaZdradamanto

It might be helpful to identify what country you are located in.

The 2006 B650 was the Air/Oil cooled SACS engine...in Canada the 650 was not watercooled until 2007, and in 2006 the big bandit was also still a SACS engine, not a water cooled 1250 until 2007,

Either way, it is NOT likely that the exhaust can (muffler) is the same...often they can be made to fit, but on the SACS 600/650 the muffler was welded to the mid pipe, whereas on the 1200, it bolted on.

Hi pmackie
Im from Portugal - amazing thing internet is!

In here the b6 and b12  become watercooler only in 2007, just like in Canada. Mine is from 2006 and is air cooled.

I already had notice that until 2004 the B12 has the muffler bolted to the pipe and in the b6 is only one piece. But, if you could see, in 2005 and 2006 versions they are both just like the same. My question is about to know if they are really the same, internally you know.
