*UPDATE* Project B12 Pt. 2

The ignition switch in the pics is the Bandit one. I didnt need to swap it out. Not a perfect fit but still looks good.

I havent finished sorting the lock stops yet. I think im just gonna put some thick adhesive rubber on the frame where the forks would hit.  I cut off the OEM bandit stop as obviously its too short.
For the sterring head i had to make a small spacer to fill the gap. I'll try to dig up the exact measurments, but it wasnt much. I have a friend with a machine shop and he whipped one up for me. Has worked like a charm!
Im swapping the bandit gauges out for a nice analog tach/digital speedo from XPOstreetfighter.com. I ousted all the bandit-looking parts so people will wonder wth my bike is
I had the Busa fender on there but it was too big. Currently my fender is one i found from an '02 GSXR1000.

im doing this front end on my 98 b12 in the next couple of weeks
can i pick your brains buddy
what did you use for ignition switch and how ??
what did you pack the stem out with on the top yolk ???
do you have digital speedo now acewel/vapor ???
and what front muddy have you used ???
lock stops how did you sort that out ???
any advice/tips would be much appreciated

FWIW - he's working with a 2nd Generation B12 and they already come with electronic speedos that get their signal from the countershaft sprocket. You could use these parts to do the same and eliminate the speedo cable/drive issues you're wodering about.

also does the busa wheel have a spacer on the spindle my wheel dont line up right it doesnt clear caliper lug have i something missing

Thats where i got the top plate conversion.

As for the spacer, im not in a spot to look atm. tomorrow at the shop i will. Not entirely sure B/C i bought it as a whole unit assembled....

Thats going to be an awsome bike for sure. One of these days I'll have to do My Bandit over again from the frame up. But not untill the SV is paid for(among some other things) In the mean time we'll be looking forward to seeing your finished product.   Dan

I hear ya brother. I have done next to _nothing_ all winter to afford this. Luckily my gf rides her own bike and understands my passion

So the '02 Gixxer fender is a direct bolt on for the busa front end?  Any mods needed to fit it?

Yea the fender bolts right on.  The frame etc finally got ground down to where i want it and went to powdercoat yesterday. theres a 3 week backup at the moment though  so it'll be a bit before i see it. But im excited because when it comes back we should have all the parts to completely reassemble and be done. And thank God, its almost June! I wanna RIDE
