header removel on 2001
« on: March 09, 2006, 03:50:02 PM »
Question for those who have done it...  When taking off the headers, do you have to remove the radiator (oil cooler) or whatever it's called, before you remove the headers?  Some of those screws seem impossable to get to without moving the radiator out of the way.  Also, does anyone know off hand what size the allen screws are for the headers.

I'm going to paint my headers and midpipe black... should look pretty good.  That gold color just doesn't go with my color scheme :duh:

Thanks!

Chad: No you do not have to remove or loosen the oil cooler. The allen wrench size is 4mm. You can use T handle allen wrenches or slip a box end wrench on the allen wrench for more torque. Hope you're not confused. If I did it anyone can.
